It’s Official: Wrestling Season is Here!
The wait is over—Folkstyle wrestling is back! The fall break between Freestyle and Greco-Roman seasons gave us time to gear up, improve, and plan big things for the year ahead. With your feedback—over 100 incredible ideas submitted last season—we’re launching some exciting new features to make this season even better. Here’s what’s new at Legacy Wrestling:
1. Girls Wrestling Rankings
For the first time, we’re thrilled to introduce Maryland High School Girls Wrestling Rankings after Thanksgiving! Girls wrestling is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, and it’s time we give it the spotlight it deserves. We’re counting on your input to make sure we get this right—if we miss anything, let us know.
2. Welcoming DC to the Family
Legacy Wrestling is expanding! This season, we’ll be covering DC wrestling, including boys’ and team rankings, highlights, and stories. Plus, we’re launching a DC Girls All-Star Team, modeled after Maryland’s successful format from last year. We can’t wait to celebrate the incredible athletes and teams from our nation’s capital!
3. Showcasing the Community
We want to shine a light on you. Share your photos, videos, and story tips with us! Each week, we’ll feature the best submissions from events, matches, and moments across Maryland and DC. Got something amazing to share? Send it our way—we’ll help amplify your story.
4. Help Us Cover Kids All-Stars
We’re continuing our Kids All-Stars Coverage, but we need your help! Using the same criteria as last year, we’ll highlight the best young talent, and your input ensures we don’t miss anyone. If we’ve overlooked a standout athlete, drop us a line—we want to hear from you.
