RESULTS: MSWA Queen Anne's Results (19U)

Like the 16U Division at the Maryland State Wrestling Association’s Queen Anne’s Qualifier, the 19U brackets delivered three double champs with Maryland Affiliations – Miles Molina (Unattached), Connor Allison (Headhunters), and Josh Agen Davis (Catonsville).

These wrestlers have earned the right to participate in the MSWA’s Freestyle and Greco Roman State Tournament at Mount Saint Joseph on May 16th.

In the Freestyle side, Molina won the 113/120-pound title with a 32 second pin of former Oklahoman, Savion Markham Simon (580 Elite). Molina got all over Cavalier Wrestling Club’s Miguel E. Caban for a 15-4 technical fall in 1:42 to win his Greco Gold at 120/126 pounds.

Both of Molina’s, and all but one of the 19U brackets, were of the round robin variety, so the match over the second-place person could have occurred at any time.

Allison collected his gold medals at 150 pounds using a 24 second pin of Wyatt Ulshafer (The Zone Wrestling Club) to gain his FS superiority. Allison dropped a 12-0 tech on Kenneth Buckholdt in 1:07 in GR.

The Headhunters also had a second Greco champ in Paul Fitzpatrick at 113 pounds, who cruised to an uncontested crown as the sole entry in his weight class.

Agen Davis (190/215 pounds) was slotted into the only traditional bracket of the competition and advanced to the FS finals where he squared off with Noah Mayen (Alexandria Junior Titans) and came out ahead of a close one, 8-6. The Greco crown at 215/285 was much easier to pocket with an 8-0 tech in 1:51 of Payton Green (Unattached).

The Capital Wrestling Club led the title-count with three in David Dansou (144 pounds), Asa Wexler (157), and Zoya Wexler (165/175 pounds).

Dansou kept Braxton Bohinc (Unattached) off the board with an 11-0 shutout tech that used up all of the allotted six minutes. The Wexler’s also pitched shutouts versus their foes as Asa came up with an 11-0 version in 2:19 against Umoru Zulukhanen (Beat the Streets DC) and Zoya rolled up a 12-0 count in 2:40 versus Aziel Batoua (Alexandria Junior Titans).

The Tech Squad’s Steven Rodriguez took two straight from Erik Luebke (Capital Wrestling Club) to grab the Freestyle Heavyweight crown with an 11-1 tech in 3:00 and a 1:15 fall. The 138-pound FS Champ was Iustin Cosmovic (Unattached) as he posted back-to-back 11-0 techs versus Jeremiah Roberts (Unattached).

Two girls battled for the 106/113-pound gold in FS with Olivia Crosby (Unattached) sweeping Headhunters’ Jahzara Smith with a 1:59 fall and an 11-0 tech in 1:01.

Delaware’s Austin Guerrieri (McDonald Wrestling Academy) was a double champ at 132 pounds by posting a 35 second fall of Eugene Herrera (Headhunters) in FS and blanking Herrera, 10-0 in 1:31, in GR.
