Owings Mills Wins
Owings Mills crowned junior Cregg Ngounou (165) with runners-up in sophomore Kelvin Alumonah (175) and senior Simeon Bryant (285) among 10 wrestlers who placed within the 10 five of their weight classes as the Eagles (175 points) dethroned second-place Sparrows Point (160) for the Baltimore County tournament title last weekend.
Finishing third was junior Ladaynean Simpson (157), with fourth-place finishes from sophomore Jeffrey Baltazar (120), junior Tony Dufour (126) and senior Malachai Roberts (150), and fifth-place efforts from sophomore Dominic Tocano (106), senior Lavanta Morgan (132) and junior Johua Savoy (215).
The Eagles are coached by Jarrad Martin, a 2016 graduate of Catonsville where he was placed first and fourth at the county tournament. Martin's assistant is Ryan Mackin, a winner of a Class 2A-1A state title as a senior at Hammond High of Howard County in 2001.

Raiders win Prince George's County
Champions Austin Hayes (106) and Stephen Exum (132) were among Eleanor Roosevelt's five finalists and six wrestlers who finished within the top four of their weight classes to lead the Raiders (162.5 points) past runner-up Bowie (158) and third-place Frederick Douglas (157.5) for the Prince George's County title last weekend.
Runners-up were Oluwatunmise Faniyi (120), Leo Foreman (138) and Ethan Lily (144), with Nnaemeka Ezirike (190) finishing fourth. Hayes is 34-0, Exum is 24-1, Foreman is 34-3, Faniyi is 25-3, Lily is 18-4, and Esirike, 31-6.
Other champions with excellent records were Laurel's Christian Argueta (113), High Point's Jonathan Robles (120), Bowie's Jamil Morrow (215) and Fairmont Heights' Jeremiah Fernandors (285). Morrow is 28-0, Fernandors is 26-0, Robles is 22-1, and Agueta 3-0.
